Big 12 Football after two weeks of in-conference play has been shaken up and some teams are ranked higher than many thought they would be. With that being said some teams are on their bye week so they get a rest to let some of their veterans heal. This week will still be full of some fun matchups and hopefully, the newcomers will come away with their first Big 12 Football win.
Oklahoma 5-0
The Sooners defeated Iowa State in a 50-20 victory on Saturday. Oklahoma heads to Texas to take on the Longhorns at noon EST on ABC this Saturday. This will be a great matchup and come down to who has the ball last. The Longhorns will most likely come away with the win handing Oklahoma their first loss of the 2023 season.
Texas 5-0
Texas beat Kansas 40-14 this past weekend. The Longhorns will take on Oklahoma at home this coming weekend. Texas will come away with the win after fighting a close battle all game long.
West Virginia 4-1
The Mountaineers won 24-21 over the Horned Frogs on Saturday to put them at number three in the conference which surprises many after they have sat at the bottom of the Big 12 for many years. West Virginia is on a BYE week so they have time to rest up and get ready for Houston.
Kansas State 3-1
Kansas State is coming off its BYE week. The Wildcats will be on the road Friday at Oklahoma State on ESPN at 7 pm EST. They will suffer another loss this week as they won’t be able to handle the Cowboys.
Kansas 4-1
The Jayhawks lost big time to Texas this past weekend. Kansas will be at home against UCF this Saturday on Fox at 4 p.m. EST. Kansas will bounce back from that loss and beat the Knights.
BYU 4-1
BYU is coming off their first Big 12 Football win at home against Cincinnati. They are on their BYE week as they prep for TCU on the 14th.
TCU 3-2
The Horned Frogs lost to West Virginia in a close matchup. TCU heads to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State this weekend. This game will take place on FS2 at 8 p.m. EST. TCU will win this game and be 3-3 on the season.
Baylor 2-3
Baylor beat UCF this past weekend 36-35 in a thriller. The Bears will be at home against Texas Tech on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. EST. Baylor will get this win and be 3-3 on the year.
Iowa State 2-3
The Cyclones suffered a huge loss to Oklahoma this past weekend. Iowa State looks to bounce back against TCU on Saturday.
Texas Tech 2-3
Texas Tech took down Houston 49-28. They head to Waco, Texas to take on Baylor in a late-night matchup. The Red Raiders will suffer their fourth loss of the year.
Oklahoma State 2-2
The Cowboys are coming off a BYE week. They take on Kansas State in a Friday night matchup on ESPN. Oklahoma Stae will have their third win after taking down the Wildcats this Saturday.
UCF 3-2
UCF lost to Baylor 35-36 this past weekend. The Knights will be in Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday to take on the Jayhawks. They will suffer their third loss this weekend and still not have a Big 12 win.
Cincinnati 2-3
The Bearcats are coming off a loss to the Cougars on Friday night. Cincinnati is on a BYE Week this week so look for them to be ready to take on Iowa State next week.
Houston 2-3
Houston suffered a major loss to Texas Tech this past weekend. The Cougars are also on their BYE Week and will be prepping for West Virginia to come to town.
