Seattle Seahawks player Jamal Adams got injured during the team’s 24-3 win against the New York Giants. He suffered a concussion in the first part of the game, which made him leave the field early.

Concussion Forces Adams to Leave Early

Jamal Adams hadn’t played since getting injured last year, so this was a big deal for him. He got hit in the head while trying to tackle the Giants’ Daniel Jones.

Coach Pete Carroll said that Adams should be okay and ready to play in the next game against the Cincinnati Bengals after the Seahawks’ break.

“He got kicked in the head and will miss this game, but with some rest, he’ll be fine for the next one,” Carroll said. “It’s just a small setback for now.”

Adams got injured in the early part of the game. He stayed down on the field for a moment and had trouble standing up. He needed help from the team’s staff to walk off the field.

Adams’ Reaction on the Sideline

Later, on the Seahawks’ sideline, Adams got really angry and yelled at someone who was checking his condition. It caused a bit of a commotion.

Coach Carroll explained, “By the time they finished checking him, he couldn’t play. He might have reacted to something someone said that wasn’t part of our team.”

Even as he left the field, Adams still seemed upset. He exchanged words with someone in the crowd but also high-fived a fan wearing his jersey.

Team Dedication to Injured Adams

Teammate DK Metcalf said, “When Jamal got hurt, it motivated us. He’s like a brother to us, and we dedicated the rest of the game to him. We’re glad he got to play with us this year, and he’ll be back soon.”

The Seahawks had some other players get hurt in the game, including guards Phil Haynes and Damien Lewis, as well as nose tackle Jarran Reed. Their injuries varied, but it’s uncertain how long they’ll be out.

Adams’ Injury History and Future

Before this game, Adams had missed many games due to injuries since joining the Seahawks in 2020. He even thought about retiring after getting hurt last year. But Coach Carroll is confident that Adams will bounce back and be a vital part of the team’s future.
