It’s sort of unbelievable that Malik Nabers hasn’t gotten more attention in NFL draft talk. You would think there’s only QBs to pick from in 2024.

This Louisiana native has people debating whether he is the best WR to come from LSU ever. Other analysts are comparing the young man to the likes of NFL greats like Mike Wallace.
LSU Malik Nabers: The Man, The Myth, & The Legend
As someone who lived in New Orleans for nearly 10 years, the city of Youngsville was never on my radar. That is likely because Malik Nabers was born in a town of around 16,000 people as of 2020.
Despite being from such a small area, Malik has made a name for himself in college. The wide receiver only had three years of high school experience before committing to Mississippi State. He ultimately opted for LSU.
Louisiana State is already a treasure trove of talent, and Malik found a way to exceed prior records at such a reputable institution.
In his three years at LSU, he became the all-time leader in receiving yards with a total of 3,003 yards. Nabers also led the FBS in receiving yards in 2023 and was then named a unanimous All-American and First-Team All-SEC last season.
What Makes Malik Nabers Unique?
Besides Malik’s impressive stats and general importance as a special human being, of course.
I always process draft reports with a mountainous grain of salt, but it does give us some insight on the LSU wide receiver.
Malik Nabers is described as being speedy as all get out, particularly vertically. He can accelerate at the drop of a hat and has impressively quick footwork.
The wide receiver lives for 50/50 balls, has a great awareness of zone coverage, and is also a physical guy who is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the defense.
It feels like Malik Nabers will be the perfect plug-and-play talent for a team that needs a strong wide receiver today. He also appears to have so much talent that he will be able to perfect his craft and become even more skilled with time. He gets an A+ from me!
