NFL star Chandler Jones claims he was hospitalized against his will last week.

The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end posted a series of images on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The images appeared to resemble journal entries written by him, by hand. The posts described Jones’ point of view where he was apparently taken to a mental hospital against his will.

Raw Journal Entries

“I answered my front door, and a group of 5 to 7 were there to put me in an ambulance where I was later injected and I asked them not to,” Jones stated in one of the journal entries. “I haven’t done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online. [I was] transferred to Seven Hills where they tried to force me to take meds & injections.”

According to Jones, he was taken against his will and was injected with a substance inside the ambulance. Jones has been away from the team since Labor Day weekend due to a “personal matter.” The move comes following Jones’s erratic social media posts criticizing the Raiders organization and coaches, which have since been removed. Last week, the Raiders placed him on the non-football illness list, and the chaos ensued.

Cold Shoulder

Jones claims he called Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler “6 to 7 times” asking for help and answers as to why he was taken, but never heard back. The Raiders themselves declined to comment, adding further mystery to this weird situation.

“My first night I slept on the floor and was not offered a bed,” he wrote in another post. “I’m still confused on what I did wrong. I’m stuck here, I’m very sane.”

The 33-year-old is in the second year of his three-year, $51 million deal. Despite this, he has yet to play in a game for the Raiders this season.
