The 2023 NFL season is officially over. It is draft season! The New York Giants 2023 season wasn’t great, but it did have fun moments. They come into draft season needing to rebuild but still have some massive contracts like Daniel Jones. The good news for the team is that they have good draft capital to try to reload the roster. Here is the New York Giants 2024 NFL Draft guide.
New York Giants 2024 NFL Draft Picks
The New York Giants have picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: No. 6 overall
- Round 2: No. 39 overall
- Round 2: No. 47 overall (via Seattle)
- Round 3: No. 70 overall
- Round 4: No. 108 overall
- Round 5: No. 140 overall
- Round 6: No. 185 overall
The New York Giants have a lot of holes on the roster but four top-100 picks in the draft. They netted the extra second-rounder in the Leonard Williams trade. However, they gave away their seventh-round pick for Isaiah Simmons. The number of top picks allows flexibility for the team. They can trade up or stick where they are at and collect young talent.
New York Giants NFL Draft Needs
The New York Giants need the following positions: WR, OT, QB, EDGE, IOL
The New York Giants need a little bit of everything. Their wide receivers leave a lot to be desired. Overall, the skill position players are weak, with Saquon Barkley likely leaving in free agency. New York could use help all over the offensive line to protect whoever is under center.
The defense was the best part of the team last year, meaning there are fewer holes to fill. They could use another dynamic edge rusher to play opposite Kayvon Thibodeaux. Depending on how the draft falls, the Giants could look to grab a top-edge rusher in the first round and solve some other needs with their two second-round picks.
Mock Draft
Mock drafts are done on NFL Mock Draft Database. No trades were executed. Obviously, teams tend to wheel and deal, but this is meant to give a look at what the team can do with the draft capital they currently have.

Mock Draft Analysis
The New York Giants do the smart thing at six and take one of the top offensive tackles in the class. Fashanu’s film is great, and he is only 25 years old. Taking a top wide receiver sells jerseys and tickets, but Fashanu gives the team a chance to compete in the long run. Surprisingly, I had the Giants go defense in the middle rounds. Braswell and Sainristil will be perfect additions to this team.
The offense does get a boost. I like the New York Giants to take a quarterback in the second round. Bo Nix could end up being a solid pro, and the extra second-round pick gives them flexibility. Will Shipley isn’t Barkley but has similar traits, and Jalen McMillan is a solid receiver who was overshadowed by two elite players at Washington.
The New York Giants need a little bit of everything. This might be the last year of Daniel Jones, so the team needs to build a foundation for whoever the next quarterback is in New York.
