The 2023 Football Season is just around the corner. With fall camp starting in just a couple of weeks let’s do some position previews for the BYU Football team. Today I will talk about the BYU Wide Receiver core and the Tight Ends will be in the next article.

BYU has some great experience at this position and they will lead the Cougars to many wins this season. There is also some younger talent that will need to be developed in the next couple of seasons as the upper classmen graduate and move on from BYU.

Kody Epps

Kody Epps is a 5-11 187 lbs sophomore from Los Angeles, California. He has played for two seasons for the Cougars and will be one of the three starters to see the field throughout the season. In 2020 he played in six games with five receptions for 47 yards. Epps didn’t play in 2021. Last season he played in eight games with 39 receptions for 459 yards and six touchdowns.

Keanu Hill

Keanu Hill is a 6-4 215 lbs junior from Bedford, Texas this will be his fifth season as a Cougar. Hill will also be one of the three to see the field as a starter. His first season he played in three games with three receptions for 40 yards. The 2020 season he played in eight games with four receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown. In 2021 he played in 13 games with 18 receptions for 343 yards and two touchdowns. Last season he played in 13 games with 36 receptions and 572 yards and seven touchdowns.

Chase Roberts

Chase Roberts is a 6-4 210 lbs sophomore from Highland, Utah in his second year as a Cougar. Roberts will be the third starter on the field. In 2022 he played in 11 games with 22 receptions for 357 yards and three touchdowns.

Talmage Gunther

Talmage Gunther is a 6-0 190 lbs junior from Cedar Hills, Utah in his fifth season for BYU. Gunther will be the Cougars fourth option at wide receiver. So far he has played in 37 games as a BYU Wide Receiver with no stats.

Keelan Marion

Keelan Marion is a 6-0 200 lbs junior from Atlanta, Georgia, and a transfer from UConn. In his first season, he played in 12 games with 28 receptions for 474 yards and five touchdowns. Last season he played in five games with four receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown. He will be a great transfer and second option for the Cougars if they need another receiver on the field or if someone gets injured.

Darius Lassiter

Darius Lassiter is a 6-3 205 lbs senior from Chandler, Arizona and a transfer from Eastern Michigan. Last season he played in 13 games with 40 receptions for 471 yards and four touchdowns. Lassiter is a great transfer for BYU and will be a great back up this season.

Jojo Phillips

JoJo Phillips is a 6-5 190 lbs freshman from Lancaster, California . In his senior year he had 586 receiving yards and five touchdowns to finish the year with a CIF championship.

Jake Hill

Jake Hill is a 6-3 190 lbs freshman from St. George, Utah. His senior year he had 22 receptions for 601 yards and seven touchdowns.

Koa Eldredge

Koa Eldredge is a 6-0 195 lbs freshman from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Parker Kingston

Parker Kingston is a 6-0 180 lbs freshman from Layton, Utah. His career numbers were 34 receptions for 542 yards and five touchdowns.

Dom Henry

Dom Henry is a 5-11 175 lbs freshman from St. Augustine, Florida. He had 81 receptions for 1,590 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2021. Henry led Florida with those stats.
