The 2023 Football Season is just around the corner. With fall camp starting in just a couple of weeks let’s do some position previews for the BYU Football team. I will finish out the position previews with the Special Teams. The Kicking battle will be a big one for the Cougars. Last year the kicking game was a struggle and wasn’t consistent. So maybe the ones on roster this year can provide some game winning kicks.
Dalton Riggs DS
Dalton Riggs is a 6-3 225 lbs freshman from Eagle, Idaho. Last year was his first season on roster.
Austin Riggs DS
Austin Riggs is a 6-4 230 lbs junior from Eagle, Idaho. He has played in 27 games since 2020.
Jordan Kapisi Kicker
Jordan Kapisi is a 6-0 190 lbs freshman from Honolulu, Hawaii. This is his first year on roster.
Will Ferrin Kicker
Will Ferrin is a 6-3 175 lbs sophomore from Kaysville, Utah. He is a transfer from Boise State. Ferrin has played in 10 games since 2021.
Matthias Dunn Kicker
Matthias Dunn is a 6-0 175 lbs freshman from Heber City, Utah. This will be his first year on roster.
Ryan Rehkow Punter
Ryan Rehkow is a 6-5 235 lbs junior from Veradale, Washington. He has played in 38 games since 2020 and has punted over 60 yards in many games. Rehkow will be the starting punter this fall for the Cougars.
Landon Rehkow Punter, Kicker
Landon Rehkow is a 6-1 170 lbs freshman from Veradale, Washington. This is his first year on roster.
