BYU Football has wrapped up fall camp and then transition to preparing for the first game against Sam Houston State. The Cougars have come a long way from last season and fans will see that once the season kicks off.

Offense

The BYU Football offense has been rolling this fall camp. Kedon Slovis will start at quarterback this fall if he goes down the Cougars will trust Jake Retzlaff at QB2 and then Cade Fennegan at QB3. The top six wide receivers will be Kody Epps, Keanu Hill, Chase Roberts, Talmage Gunther, Parker Kingston, and Dom Henry. The Running backs will be led by Aidan Robbins with Hinckley Ropati and Miles Davis to follow him. Isaac Rex will lead the tight ends with Jackson Bowers and Mata’ava Ta’ase to be backups or extras on the field when needed. This offensive line group is still setting themselves apart but according to coaches, there isn’t much difference to who will play first or second string.

Defense

This Cougar defense is rising to the occasion with this new defensive staff and is ready to start this season. The Line is big and could stop many running backs this season. They will also be able to get to the quarterback and sack him which is what fans want to see. Ben Bywater and Max Tooley will lead the linebackers with Fisher Jackson and Isaiah Glasker to be the others on the field a ton this season. The cornerbacks will be led by Eddie Heckard and Jakob Robinson with Kamden Garrett and Mory Bamba being third and fourth options. The safeties have a huge spot to fill with Micah Harper out. They will rise to this occasion and be led by Malik Moore and Talan Alfrey.
