The NFL Draft has concluded with three BYU Cougars having their names called on Day 3. Blake Freeland, Jaren Hall, and Puka Nacua have all found their first homes in the NFL. This came after they had amazing careers as Cougars and then had showings at the combine, and pro day.

This article will be updated throughout the weekend as others pick up free agency deals, mini camp invites or other deals to play at the next level.

Blake Freeland OT Pick:106 Indianapolis Colts

Blake Freeland was drafted by the Colts in Round 4. He is a great fit there as they have an amazing OL coach and veterans who will be able to mentor him. Freeland will be fighting for a starting spot and very well may earn it this year. In addition to his speed, he has a big frame which will also be good for keeping the defensive lines away from the quarterback. Freeland also spent most of his time at left tackle and the Colts need one who can play at a fast pace.

Jaren Hall QB Pick:164 Minnesota Vikings

Jaren Hall was picked up by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Hall will be competing for the backup position with Nick Mullens. This will be great for Hall as he continues to grow as a quarterback. Hall will also get a chance to learn from a good quarterback who has been playing at this level. Also take into account him one day starting in the NFL if he can stay healthy and know when to throw the ball away.

Puka Nacua WR Pick: 177 Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua is the final Cougar to be drafted this year and the Rams picked him up. He will be almost an instant starter for the Rams and will be seen making a huge impact there. Nacua has great hands, fast feet, and a solid verticle. This will make him harder to defend and give the Rams another weapon on the field. Nacua will also have some great veterans across the league to learn something from while he starts his career.

Chris Brooks RB Miami Dolphins

Chris Brooks played one season at BYU and now will be joining the Dolphins and playing with Tagovailoa. This is a good landing spot for him as he will have time to build his game before getting thrown into a starting role in Miami. The Dolphins certainly will be get a strong runner who will be working on his speed and agility.
