The NFL MVP for 2024 watch is coming soon as the year on the gridiron is almost wrapping up.
With two weeks left in the 2024 NFL regular season, it’s that time when you (the fans) do your civic duty and vote for your favorite athlete’s superlatives.
The NFL MVP For 2024:
Three excellent candidates are in the race for the 2024 NFL MVP award. They have all reached the top of the mountain as the three best players in the league.
Let’s meet the candidates and take a look at their peaks.
Saquan Barkley- Running Back/Philadelphia Eagles
Our first candidate is considered an MVP outsider in his race.
Saquan Barkley is having a career year with the Philadelphia Eagles since not re-signing with the New York Giants this past off-season.
He shattered the team’s single-season rushing record of 124 yards in Philadelphia’s 22-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Dec 8, 2024.
The speedy back has 1,623 yards in 13 games, overtaking LeSean McCoy, who established the franchise title in 2013 with 1,607 yards.
Barkley also smashed another Eagles record that same day. He exceeded 100 yards for the ninth time in a season, snapping the record previously owned by Wilbert Montgomery in 1979, who broke the record eight times.
Yes, the narrative is that he’s a running back in an era when the position is a dime-a-dozen. Also, quarterbacks usually win the MVP award.
On Oct. 20, 2024, number 26 of the Eagles returned to the Meadowlands to face the Giants and put on a show. He rushed for 176 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries in a 28-3 win over his old team.
On Sunday Night Football provided by NBC, Barkley amassed 255 yards rushing while scoring two rushing touchdowns in the victory over the LA Rams on Nov. 24, 2024.
However, actions speak louder than words, and the production from Barkley this season should consider some grassroots NFL fan votes.
With numbers like that, Barkley can shake up the QB MVP establishment and create a new generation of superstar running backs.

Josh Allen– Quarterback/Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen has to feel on top of the world right now. After getting engaged to a special young woman in Hailee Steinfeld, his personal MVP.
The Bills’ superstar quarterback is looking to win his first MVP award and, hopefully, another ring on February 9, 2025.
Number 17 of the red, white, and blue currently has the best quarterback rating in the NFL at 79.3. He is sixth with 25 touchdown passes to pair with 12 rushing touchdowns.
Allen put his name into the NFL record books by passing and rushing for three touchdowns in the 44-42 loss to the LA Rams at Sofi Stadium.
The record-setting quarterback also finished the game 22 of 37 for 342 yards, boasting a 117.2 quarterback rating with no turnovers.
The following week, Allen impressed again, going 23-34 for 362 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. He also ran for 68 yards while finishing passes to nine multiple receivers.
Even Stefon Diggs from the Houston Texans wants to endorse the quarterback despite no longer being his teammate.
“It’s no secret that Josh Allen is amazing,” Diggs told NFL Media’s Kyle Brandt on “Good Morning Football.” “He’s making those plays. It’s not new to me at all. He’s finally getting the credit he deserves. He’s playing at a very high level. I feel like he deserves it.”
Vote for Allen for MVP 2024 – A generational superstar with a white-collar personality.
Lamar Jackson– Quarterback/Baltimore Ravens
The electoral juggernaut in this race, Lamar Jackson has experience in winning the MVP award. The electric playmaker has won this award the last two seasons and is looking to three-peat in 2024.
Jackson is a must-see TV icon every time the Ravens play. He can take off with his legs and has a cannon for an arm.
On Nov. 3, 2024, number eight for the Baltimore Ravens was 16-19 for 280 yards and three TDs in a 41-10 blowout against the Denver Broncos.
The talented quarterback followed up again on Nov. 7, 2024, against the Cincinnati Bengals. He went 25-33 for 290 yards and four touchdowns with no picks and the Ravens squeaked out a 35-34 win.
Jackson has passed for a whopping 3,787 yards, with 37 touchdowns and four interceptions. In the last two years, he won the award for having an average running game.
Voters can make the case he has a dynamite power running back in Derek “King” Henry and those two alone have done damage on the ground.
Vote for Jackson for MVP 2024 – Let’s see if he can three-peat.
Now that you’ve met the candidates, it’s time to make an important choice.
The NFL MVP for 2024 is the most important race for the league.
Do you want to keep voting for a juggernaut who always wins? Or do you want to vote for a new MVP era? Either a QB who never won it or the outsider at running back to win it all?
Do your part and vote.
