In this edition of ‘Unlocking the UFL’ we will cover the Saturday, April 20th, game in San Antonio, Texas, between the Michigan Panthers and the San Antonio Brahmas.
Saturday, San Antonio, Texas Excitement
Over 11,000 fans came to see the Brahmas and the Panthers battle it out in San Antonio on 4/20. Two people who wish they weren’t there were the Michigan Panthers QBs, who were sacked a total of six times during the game.
First Half is the Best Half
The warm-up sessions must have been intense because both teams were ready to go. San Antonio Brahmas QB Quinten Dormady made his first start in the UFL. He will probably be making many more.
Within the first five minutes of the game, the Brahmas had a TD. As we mentioned before, it was Sack Saturday, and the defense really shone in the first half as well, actively not allowing the Panthers to catch up. A field goal by the Brahmas helped keep the momentum up with a score of 10-0.
By the end of the second quarter, the score would be 16-3. Thanks, of course, again to Dormady for securing another TD for San Antonio. The Panthers also put some points on the board after Jack Bates made a 49-yard field goal.
A Tail of Two Halves
The third quarter was likely a popular time to get concessions because nothing much happened on the gridiron.
Halfway through the 4th quarter, San Antonio made a field goal. Shortly before the end of the game, the Panthers were able to shake the defense long enough to get a TD. QB Danny Etling connected with Marcus Simms. The final score was 19-9.

For people who enjoy the simple pleasures in life, the San Antonio Brahmas vs. the Arlington Renegades game is for you on Saturday, April 27th, at 7 PM ET. It’ll almost surely be an easy win that leaves you feeling a little bit bad about the outcomes.
The St. Louis Battlehawks going against the DC Defenders will likely result in a clear win for the Missouri team on Sunday, April 28th, at 12 PM ET. In terms of blowout potential, it sits between the Houston Roughnecks and Birmingham Stallions (bad) and the San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades (less bad). Pick your poison, UFL fans!
