Some seasons are harder than others on a person. Scottie Scheffler has had an extraordinary amount of drama this time around. There was the whole Louisville police incident in May, and now he is expressing his big feelings out on the green last week. For a guy who has a reputation as being professional and even-tempered, it’s been interesting to see a more ‘animated’ angle of Scheffler.

Scottie Scheffler Is Grumpy On The Green

Hide your ears, kids. Scheffler is around. Spicy Scheffler had a temper tantrum at the PGA BMW Championship last Friday. A double bogey had the pro-golfer melting down on that pesky hole 10 on the course in Denver, Colorado. His second shot had his golf ball take a swim, and the third shot was bungled.

Scheffler couldn’t contain himself and started asking how his ball didn’t get on the green and then dropped the f-bomb. That sounds like a rhetorical question there, Mr. Scheffler. He ranked #29 in the championship, which is obviously upsetting for a player of his caliber.

We would have a clearer idea of what happened the fateful morning that Scott Scheffler was arrested if the police had bodycams. What we do know is that on May 17th, police officers were directing traffic and blocking access to the Valhalla golf course due to a fatal accident that had occurred in that location earlier in the morning.

Scheffler was placed in custody for not following police commands, as he allegedly had tried to enter the course despite an officer’s orders. It is important to note that all charges have been dropped. Scheffler was released the same day and was still able to compete in the golf competition.

There was hot debate over whether or not the golf pro was or wasn’t following commands. There were also allegations that Scheffler dragged a police officer with his car. However, eyewitness sources indicate that that didn’t happen. Of course all the charges were dropped, and we couldn’t see the event via bodycam, so the world may never know.

Surprising Update On Louisville Police Officer

One of the men in blue who was involved with the Scheffler arrest is in trouble! He was one of the three gentlemen that ‘forgot’ to turn on their bodycam during the incident. His poor decisions haven’t stopped since May. On August 23rd, Officer Javar Downs was arrested and is currently in the process of termination for his position in law enforcement.

What did Downs do? He took $4,000 from a suspect during the jail booking process. Downs is now facing one charge of theft and one of official misconduct. Hopefully he doesn’t have to share a cell with the person he was taking the money from.

In Conclusion

Scottie Scheffler has had a rough season. His little run-in with the Louisville Police officers during the PGA Championships in May had him in the headlines. Normally, he is only there for winning, so this was a change of pace for us all. An epic mantrum put him back in the public eye last week. Hopefully, next year will be better for the golfer.
