In an already big series for Rutgers, infielder Chris Brito breaks an important record. Brito has officially broken Todd Frazier’s record for the program in career home runs. The Scarlet Knights played the Penn State Nittany Lions when Chris Brito hit his 43rd career home run.

Brito is currently a senior at Rutgers, and in an already big series, he makes it even more special. Rutgers Baseball went undefeated against Penn State in this series in New Jersey. Todd Frazier is a member of the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame. He is also one of the most notable Scarlet Knights when it comes to baseball. This is a big deal for Chris Brito in his senior year.

In college, Fraxier was a two-time First Team All-Big East Player of the Year. He was also a First Team All-American in 2007 as a junior, according to Rutgers University athletics. Brito breaking Frazier’s record for career home runs is a big deal.
In 2022, Brito made the Big Ten All-Tournament Team. He also broke Rutgers’ single-season RBI record that year with 74. According to Rutgers, Brito hit ten home runs this season, and there are still many names to go.
Brito is going to be an important name to watch for during the next draft. Rutgers was lucky to have Brito return for his fifth season, and that is what has helped him break this major record.
Rutgers just went 3-0 in the series against Penn State, making their record 11-7 against the Big Ten. Rutgers will next face Illinois in Piscataway, NJ.
