It feels like just yesterday that Russell Wilson and Ciara were dating and then tying the knot. But it wasn’t. No, the ‘corny’ couple has been going strong for eight years. They came into the relationship with one child, and now they have four. Many things have changed over the years, like where Russ is quarterbacking, but what hasn’t changed is their love. This is one of the most rock-solid couples in the public eye.

On Instagram, Russell Wilson posted: “Celebrating 8 years of God’s love & grace over us @Ciara! Since we met, you’ve been my strength in every trial. My joy in every moment. My peace in every prayer. God blessed me with the most incredible gift in you! I am so grateful for our journey together. Here’s to a lifetime more. I love you Mrs. Wilson to Heaven & back! ❤️” along with an adorable montage of photos the couple has shared over the years.
In response, Ciara posted her own cute moments and captioned them: ”I love walking with you, talking with you, being in your arms, and doing everything with you! I’m the happiest girl because of how you love me! I’m so grateful for our love! 8 years! So proud of us! Yay! Happy Anniversary my love! @DangeRussWilson. I love you so much!”

The Couple Is Spreading Love
A power couple like this wouldn’t celebrate their anniversary without work. The Wilsons went to Seattle to celebrate their special day. Ciara started the first day of her tour on their get-a-way trip to the Emerald City, too. As if that wasn’t enough, Russ and Ciara also headed to the Seattle Children’s Hospital to visit patients. The couple spreads so much love and light to the world around them.
Wilson’s Ex-Wife Speaks Up
Russell Wilson’s ex-wife, Ashton Meem, popped up out of nowhere. You may remember her for the photo of her extremely large mouth in a jaw-achingly wide position on Wilson’s NFL draft day. People also likely remember the rumors that she was a ‘team player’ with some of the other Seattle Seahawks stars, leading to the couple’s divorce. No one has ever let Meem forget what she lost when she was divorced by Wilson.
Days before Wilson’s 8th anniversary, Ashton came out of the woodwork, finally changing her social media from Ashton Wilson to ‘richsaltestate.’ She still has photos of her and Russ on her Instagram, which is unsettling. However, she has posted some new photos of herself wearing Independence Day-themed jewelry, which is also odd.
Russell Wilson is frequently warding off negativity from Ciara’s ex, Future. Maybe it’s only fair that one of Russ’s exes causes a little drama too.
