The 2023 NFL season is officially over. It is draft season! The Philadelphia Eagles season was a tale of two halves. They started 10-1 and looked to be a lock for the number one overall seed in the NFC East. The team collapsed in the second half and lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. This team needs help on defense and should look for some high-quality talent in the draft. Here is the Philadelphia Eagles 2024 NFL Draft guide.
Philadelphia Eagles 2024 NFL Draft Picks
The Philadelphia Eagles have nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: No. 22 overall
- Round 2: No. 50 overall
- Round 2: No. 53 overall (via New Orleans)
- Round 3: No. 97 overall
- Round 5: No. 160 overall
- Round 5: No. 170 overall
- Round 5: No. 171 overall
- Round 5: No. 178 overall (via Minnesota or Tampa Bay)
- Round 6: No. 189 overall (via Atlanta)
The Philadelphia Eagles are thankful for the compensatory picks they have coming to them. They are projected to get four extra picks. The best one is the third-rounder due to Javon Hargrave signing with the 49ers. New Orleans is giving them a second-round pick because they traded up to select Chris Olave and Trevor Penning.
Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft Needs
The Philadelphia Eagles need the following positions: CB, S, WR, OT, LB
The Philadelphia Eagles are good on the defensive line. They need help everywhere else. The back seven of the defense couldn’t stop anyone late in the year. Their secondary is getting older, with Darius Slay on the wrong side of 30. They need some young talent on that side of the ball.
Another position the Eagles need to begin to plan for the future is the offensive line. If Jason Kelce comes back, it won’t be for long. The rest of the line is also aging. The Eagles would do well to get some young players they can develop for a few years.

Mock Draft Analysis
While offensive tackle isn’t the biggest need for the Philadelphia Eagles, the value is too good to pass up. Fautanu was a part of the award-winning Huskies offensive line and should be a solid player in the NFL. From there, the Eagles go defense. Kinchens is a quality safety who should start immediately. Abrams-Draine and Simpson are good value picks, though they need some coaching.
In the back end of the draft, the Philadelphia Eagles take some flyers on offensive players. Jawhar Jordan is a quality back who will slot in well behind De’Andre Swift for the time being. McCaffrey will get drafted by someone from the name alone, and getting to be the WR3 behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith is a good spot.
The Philadelphia Eagles should still be one of the top teams in the NFC next year. However, they do have some issues to try and fix if they are going to be successful in 2024.
