Madden 24 has been released! The cultural phenomenon is an integral part of the football season for many. Whether it is about creating a player or creating a dynasty with your favorite team, Madden offers complete immersion into the game. One fun thing that many outlets do is a season simulation to see what the game thinks will happen in the upcoming season. The season simulations have started and they have some wild predictions.

Madden 24 Season Simulations

Let me be clear. These predictions mean nothing. Last season, the game predicted that the Indianapolis Colts would go 16-1 in the regular season with Matt Ryan at quarterback. The Colts ended up picking fourth overall. Dak Prescott won the MVP last year in the Madden simulation and he ended up throwing a large number of interceptions. It is by no means a perfect science but it isn’t about knowing what is going to happen. It is about seeing what wild predictions the game comes up with. Here are the craziest ones.

Mahomes Wins MVP; But The Chiefs Miss The Playoffs

In one Yahoo Sports simulation, Patrick Mahomes has a monster season and wins MVP but it isn’t enough. The team goes 9-8 and misses the playoffs as the Chargers and Broncos beat them out in the division. It is worth noting that this simulation has the Broncos going 14-3 which might make me wonder whether Sean Payton made a deal with the devil in the offseason. It seems wild that the Chiefs wouldn’t make the playoffs but the AFC is loaded so I suppose it could happen.

The Dallas Cowboys Dominate

The Cowboys winning games isn’t wild and crazy. They have a good team, especially their defense. I easily have them as a top ten group. What is unbelievable is their record. One of the Madden 24 simulations has the team going 16-1 in the regular season. This is en route to a Super Bowl victory that puts the exclamation point on a dominant season. It wouldn’t shock me if the Cowboys won. It would shock me if the team went 16-1.

The Detroit Lions Finish Under .500

There is a lot of hype around this team. They have been in the NFC North basement forever. A crazy fact that sounds fake but is true is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have won the NFC North more recently than the Lions. Fans are hoping this is the year. Madden is not quite as confident. One simulation has the team going 7-10, finishing third in the division and missing the playoffs. The silver lining is Jack Campbell wins Defensive Rookie Of The Year. If this did happen, there would be a lot of questions about head coach Dan Campbell and GM Brad Holmes.

The Minnesota Vikings Win The Super Bowl

I saved the best for last. In one of the Madden 24 simulations, the Vikings sneak into the playoffs as a wild card and go on an unlikely run. While their regular season record of 9-8 is very pedestrian, they get hot at the right time. They meet the Chiefs in the Super Bowl and behind their defense, they prevail and lift the Lombardi trophy for the first time in franchise history. I can’t imagine that many pundits are picking the Vikings to win it all this year but Madden lays out the scenario of it happening.

Madden 24 Season Simulations Are Fun

Again, these Madden 24 simulations mean nothing. However, it is interesting to see what the simulations get right and what they miss. We’ll check in at the end of the season to see what comes true and what was fantasy.
