The 2023 NFL season is officially over. It is draft season! The Las Vegas Raiders had a roller coaster of a 2023 season. Head coach Josh McDaniels was fired midseason, and Antonio Pierce did enough to win the job. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about this roster. Maxx Crosby is one of the best pass rushers in the league, and Davante Adams has still shown elite skills. There are still some questions, but with the right draft, this team could thrive. Here is the Las Vegas Raiders 2024 NFL Draft guide.
Las Vegas Raiders 2024 NFL Draft Picks
The Las Vegas Raiders have nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: No. 13 overall
- Round 2: No. 44 overall
- Round 3: No. 77 overall
- Round 4: No. 113 overall
- Round 5: No. 147 overall
- Round 6: No. 210 overall (via Kansas City)
- Round 7: No. 221 overall
- Round 7: No. 225 overall
- Round 7: No. 227 overall
The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t done much right in the past five years. However, they have been frugal with their early-round draft capital. Now, the challenge is to pick the right player. Last year’s pick, Tyree Wilson, struggled in his rookie season, and there is a long history of first-round busts. The hope is the front office and coaching staff are the right ones and can build something with this squad.
Las Vegas Raiders NFL Draft Needs
The Las Vegas Raiders need the following positions: QB, CB, OT, DL, IOL
A quarterback position is the biggest need for this team. Aidan O’Connell was fine, but he probably isn’t the long-term answer for the franchise. The issue is there may not be any top options at no. 13. The team might have to compromise and find a bridge option in the short term. Otherwise, they are looking at giving up a massive amount of draft capital.
From there, the Las Vegas Raiders need help in the trenches. Offensive and defensive lines are critical parts of any team, and the Raiders need help on both. They could also use some help on the outside. Offenses could throw at them, and if any quarterback is going to be successful, the defense has to get some stops.
Mock Draft
Mock drafts are done on NFL Mock Draft Database. No trades were executed. Obviously, teams tend to wheel and deal, but this is meant to give a look at what the team can do with the draft capital they currently have.

Mock Draft Analysis
The Las Vegas Raiders fix the trenches in this mock draft. Getting Fashanu gives them their left tackle of the future. Jenkins is one of the top defensive linemen in the draft as well. From there, the Raiders continue to select solid offensive linemen. Jones out of Texas and Nugent out of Michigan are great value picks.
There isn’t a quarterback that makes sense until the third round. Spencer Rattler is a quality player who could compete for the starting job in 2024. Ultimately, they need to take a swing on a quarterback, and Rattler is worth it.
The Las Vegas Raiders have to play the Chiefs twice each season which isn’t ideal. They are likely a few years away from competing but this next season is all about laying the foundation.
