The 2023 NFL season is officially over. It is draft season! The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls and are in the best position in the draft. They can fill tiny needs rather than address glaring problems. Patrick Mahomes gives any team a certain amount of wins. This team does have needs. Even though they won the Super Bowl, it was a flawed team throughout the year. Big-name free agents like Chris Jones might not be back. Here is the Kansas City Chiefs 2024 NFL Draft guide.
Kansas City Chiefs 2024 NFL Draft Picks
The Kansas City Chiefs have six picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: No. 32 overall
- Round 2: No. 64 overall
- Round 3: No. 95 overall
- Round 4: No. 133 overall
- Round 5: No. 158 overall
- Round 7: No. 172 overall
The Kansas City Chiefs hold their picks for the most part. They have done a great job building through the draft in the past. Players like Isiah Pacheco have become staples of the offense and didn’t cost premium draft capital to get. The Chiefs will likely stick where they are at and draft for value.
Kansas City Chiefs NFL Draft Needs
The Kansas City Chiefs need the following positions: WR, DL, OT, CB, EDGE
Kansas City needs some wide receivers. Rashee Rice looks like a solid piece moving forward, but the team can not count on what happened this year to be repeatable. The good news is the team has shown they can get solid talent in later rounds. Replacing Jones, if he leaves, will also be critical. In general, having defensive depth will help this team move forward.
Offensive tackle is a question mark for the Kansas City Chiefs. The play from that position group was questionable at best. They were plagued with holding penalties and missed blocking assignments. Kansas City should look to find some talent in the mid-rounds.
Mock Draft
Mock drafts are done on NFL Mock Draft Database. No trades were executed. Obviously, teams tend to wheel and deal, but this is meant to give a look at what the team can do with the draft capital they currently have.

Mock Draft Analysis
I liked the wide receiver value with Franklin at the end of the first round. His catch-and-run ability fits perfectly in the Kansas City Chiefs offense. They are missing a speedster who can create separation consistently. From there, the strategy is pretty clear. Grab solid players.
Solid players flourish on teams like the Chiefs. The focus will not be on any of these players. Opposing teams will have to worry about slowing down Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and a few other top-tier players. It gives these players time to develop.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking for a three-peat in 2024. Their draft will be very ho-hum, as fans know that as long as they have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, they will be in the mix for a championship.
