Is that Joe Burrow or Eminem at the Cincinnati Bengals training camp? You might have to look for longer than you thought to differentiate the “Slim Brady” versus the “Slim Shady.” Everyone’s brother, boyfriend, and neighbor had bleached blonde hair in the early 2000s, but Burrow is deciding to make the ‘boy band’ look timeless. It’s unclear if it’s working, but he is putting it all out on the line. We can accept this new hairstyle as evidence that Burrow and his long-time girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher broke up; she would never say yes to this ‘do.
Joe Burrow Wows Fans With New Look
According to Burrow, blondes do it better, ‘it’ presumably being football. Perhaps that is why the QB is resurrecting his bleach blonde hair for the 2024–2025 season. Injuries have plagued Joe Burrow for the past few seasons, so maybe doing ‘it’ better means playing football without getting hurt. However, blondes also have more fun. No one can blame the almost robotic QB for wanting to loosen up and play around with his Eminem side. But we can blame him for that hairstyle, though.
Burrow As Confident As Ever
The Cinci QB appears to be playing into the trope, captioning the image of his new look with the Eminem song lyrics “Guess who’s back,” followed by the music note emoji. At least he is aware of the comparison. However, he should have thought more about the bright pink top and ‘middle-aged man tourist’ shorts he paired with his bright bleach blonde hair. Burrow should have captioned the image, ‘Sponge Bob, guess who’s back.’
Joe Said He Can’t Stand Up
When people were asking if the real Slim Shady could please stand up, he said that he couldn’t. Why? His knee had bent at an uncomfortable angle that defied physics and human anatomy in 2020. The NFL has not been easy on the Bengals QB. Joe Burrow also had a season-ending wrist injury that made doing his job look quite difficult. Maybe the new ‘do will have Burrow feeling a little better—more like he did seven years ago when he rocked the blonde hair last. Things were a little easier, at least physically, back in his Ohio State days.
The Bleached Blonde Hair Fad
Allegedly, the frosted tips and bleach blonde hair of the 1990s have come back in the 2020s. Frankly, that is one trend that could have been left in the past that very few would have missed. The buzz-cut was also a big look in the 90s, meaning Joe Burrow is pillaging the entire look. It’s a bit of a confusing direction for the QB to go in considering he wasn’t even born until 1996 and missed a lot of the key cultural looks he is mimicking. What do you think about Burrow’s look?
