The NBA has announced the groups for the second edition of the Emirates NBA Cup, previously known as the In-Season Tournament, scheduled to commence on November 12, 2024.
All 30 NBA teams have been randomly assigned to groups of five within their respective conferences based on their win-loss records from the 2023-24 regular season. The groups are as follows:

Tournament Format
The Emirates NBA Cup 2024 tournament format will see each team play four games from November 12 to December 3, facing off against every other team in their group both at home and away. Following this stage, eight teams will progress to the knockout rounds, comprising six group winners and two wild card entries from each conference.
Knockout Rounds
Quarterfinals will occur on December 10 and 11 at the home arenas of the higher-seeded teams. The semifinals and championship game are scheduled for December 14 and 17 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Defending Champions
The Los Angeles Lakers, winners of the inaugural tournament, are placed in West Group B alongside several competitive teams. Boston Celtics, the reigning NBA champions, lead East Group C in this year’s tournament.
Schedule Adjustment
The NBA has adjusted the schedule for the second edition, with the semifinals slated for December 14 and the championship game scheduled for December 17.
