Studs
Isaac Rex TE
Rex had another stellar week for the Cougars. He had four receptions for 57 yards. Rex is got to be arguably one of the Cougar’s best receivers this season.
Kedon Slovis QB
Kedon Slovis had a great day and led BYU to victory. Slovis was 13/25 for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He must continue to have over 100-yard passing games and continue to fight to get the ball downfield.
Parker Kingston WR
The freshman is making a name for himself as he has risen to the occasion to be one of BYU’s top receivers. Kingston had three receptions for 46 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for three yards and threw his first touchdown on a 37-yard reception.
Max Tooley LB
Max Tooley had a day yesterday and was all over the field with his stats. He had four tackles, one sack, one pass deflection, and one interception. Tooley is another big leader for the Cougars on the defensive side of the ball.
Eddie Heckard CB
Heckard is arguably one of the best transfers for the Cougars. He is thriving in a defense he has played in for years under Jay Hill. Yesterday he had five tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss. He is showing that he can play just about anywhere on the field and is leading the cornerbacks on and off the field.
Duds
Hobbs Nyberg PR
Hobbs Nyberg has been struggling all season for the Cougars. Yesterday he had two punt returns for 11 yards. Nyberg needs to step it up to help the BYU offense get a better field position.
Marcus Mckenzie ST
Mckenzie didn’t have a big game yesterday which gave Arkansas better field positions.
Deion Smith RB
Deion Smith had two carriers for five yards. He has to figure something out to help the run game get more yards on game day. Smith also caught a 37-yard touchdown from Parker Kingston.
It’s was a great game to watch. Great review. Yes, our guys are starting to move in the right direction together. I’m excited to watch them grow and improve together.
