BYU kicks off the 2024 season in 31 days so let’s continue the position previews—this time for the lines of BYU Football in 2024. The Cougars have strong lines on both sides of the ball this year. As the Cougars look ahead to year 2 these groups look to be some of the strongest and most experienced headed into this year.
Offensive Line
Joe Brown
Joe Brown is a 6-4 305 lbs freshman from Cedar Hills, Utah.
Kaden Chidester
Chidester is a 6-8 310 lbs freshman from Richfield, Utah.
David Clifford
David Clifford is a 6-4 285 lbs freshman from Poway, California.
Sam Dawe
Dawe is a 6-3 310 lbs sophomore from Spanish Fork, Utah, and an Idaho State transfer.
Jake Eichorn
Jake Eichorn is a 6-5 300 lbs junior from Beaver, Utah. He is a transfer from Weber State where he played in 12 games. Last year as a Cougar he suited up in two games.
Caleb Etienne
Etienne is a 6-8 320 lbs senior from New Orleans, Louisiana, and an Oklahoma State transfer. He has played in 11 games as a Cougar and started four of them.
Jake Griffin
Jake Griffin is a 6-5 291 lbs freshman from Mesa, Arizona.

Hingano is a 6-5 290 lbs freshman from Chandler, Arizona.

Isaiah Jatta 6-6 320 lbs senior from San Diego, California, and a Colorado transfer.
Weston Jones
Jones is a 6-5 305 lbs freshman from Romeo, Michigan where he transferred from the University of Michigan.
Brayden Keim
Brayden Keim is a 6-9 315 lbs senior from Sandy, Utah. Over his career as a Cougar, he has played in 27 games and started in 10.
Weylin Lapuaho
Lapuaho is a 6-4 310 lbs junior from South Jordan, Utah. He is a transfer from Utah State. Lapuaho spent his last two years on the defensive line and made the switch this year to the offensive line.

Austin Leausa is a 6-5 315 lbs junior from West Jordan, Utah, and an SUU transfer.
Sonny Makasini
Makasini is a 6-3 315 lbs sophomore from Provo, Utah. He has played in two games since 2022.

Bruce Mitchell is a 6-4 295 lbs sophomore from Kamas, Utah. He has played in 11 games for BYU.

Bagnah is a 6-4 245 lbs senior from Lethbridge, Alberta, and a Boise State transfer. Last year he played in all 12 games for BYU and had 27 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection.
Tyler Batty DE
Tyler Batty is a 6-5 275 lbs senior from Payson, Utah. His first season in 2020 he played in four games and had 13 tackles and four sacks. In the 2021 season, he played in 12 games and had 43 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. During 2022 he played in 12 games and had 52 tackles and two sacks. Last year he played in all 12 games and had 57 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Lutui is a 6-2 255 lbs senior from West Valley, Utah, and a Weber State transfer. In 2022 he played in three games and had five tackles. Last season he played in 10 games and had eight tackles.
