BYU NFL Players are all over the league and many will play this season and not just be on the practice squad. The Cougars have 22 players currently on the roster as of the end of the preseason. Most of them saw reps during the preseason and will continue to see reps during the 2023 season.

Ty’son Williams RB #22 Cardinals

Williams is in his third season and his first with the Cardinals. He made his debut against the Broncos where he had 10 attempts for 51 yards. Williams will be a great asset for the Cardinals.

Tyler Allgeier RB #25 Falcons

Tyler Allgeier is in his second season and will be a backup to Bijan Robinson. He played in week two of the preseason against the Bengals and rushed for one attempt and negative one-yard.

Zayne Anderson S #38 Bills

Zayne Anderson is in his third season and played in all three preseason games. Anderson had seven tackles. He is currently listed as the third-string strong safety.

Brady Christensen G #70 Panthers

Christensen is in his third season with the Panthers and has been a great left guard for them. He played in all three preseason games for the Panthers and is currently the second-string left guard.

Sione Takitaki LB #44 Browns

Sione Takitaki is in his fifth season for the Browns. He will start at the strongside linebacker. Takitaki didn’t take reps during the preseason because he has been injured.

D’Angelo Mandell DB #38 Cowboys

Mandell is an undrafted rookie this season for the Cowboys. He played in all three preseason games and had four tackles. He is currently listed as the sixth left cornerback.

Tomasi Laulile DT #61 Broncos

Tomasi Laulile is in his second season and his first with the Broncos. He played in preseason games two and three for the Broncos. Laulile had four tackles and one pass deflection. He is currently listed as the fourth right defensive end.

James Empey C #62 Packers

Empey is in his second season and his first as a Packer. He has played in two preseason games for Green Bay.

Blake Freeland T #73 Colts

Blake Freeland is a drafted rookie and has played in all three preseason games. He will be the second-string left tackle.

Kaleb Hayes CB #43 Jaguars

Hayes is an undrafted rookie and played in all three games during the preseason. He is listed as the fourth-string left cornerback heading into the 2023 season.

Matt Bushman TE #49 Chiefs

Matt Bushman is in his third season and his second with the Chiefs. He played in all three preseason games and has four receptions for 54 yards and one touchdown. Bushman is listed as the fourth-string tight end but expect to see him a lot this season.

Michael Davis CB #43 Chargers

Davis is in his seventh season with the Chargers. He didn’t suit up for the preseason and is the second-string cornerback.

Puka Nacua WR #17 Rams

Puka Nacua is a drafted rookie and played in just the first preseason game. He had three receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown against the Chargers. Nacua is the sixth-string wide receiver and will move up as the season goes on.

Chris Brooks RB #33 Dolphins

Brooks is an undrafted Rookie and played in all three preseason games. He had some impressive stats that stood out to Dolphin fans. Brooks is the third-string running back.

Jaren Hall QB #16 Vikings

Jaren Hall is a drafted rookie and played in all three preseason games. He had 38 attempts for 26 completions with 254 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Hall is the third-string quarterback for the Vikings.

Khyiris Tonga DL #95 Vikings

Tonga is in his third season and his second with the Vikings. He played in the first preseason game against the Seahawks. Tonga is the starting nose tackle for the 2023 season.

Taysom Hill TE #7 Saints

Taysom Hill is in their seventh season with the Saints. He played in the first preseason game against the Chiefs and had one reception for two yards. Hill is the second-string at the tight end position.

Jamaal Williams RB #30 Saints

Williams is in his seventh season and his first with the Saints. He played in the first one against the Chiefs and had nine attempts on 28 yards. Williams is the number two running back ahead of the 2023 season.

Zach Wilson QB #2 Jets

Zach Wilson is in his third season with the Jets. He played in all four preseason games. Wilson had 56 attempts for 37 completions with 365 yards and one touchdown. Wilson is the second-string quarterback for New York.

Chris Wilcox CB #30 Steelers

Wilcox is in his second season and his first with the Steelers. He suited up in two preseason games and had six tackles. Wilcox isn’t listed on the depth chart.

Fred Warner LB #54 49ers

Fred Warner is in his sixth season with the 49ers. He played in one preseason game and had three tackles with one sack. Warner is the starting middle linebacker for the 2023 season.

Dax Milne WR #15 Commanders

Milne is in his third season with the Commanders. He played in all three preseason games and had four receptions for 30 yards. Milne is the fifth wide receiver going into the 2023 season.
