Coming into the Program
Sam Vander Haar P, Pittsburgh
Sam Vander Haar played one season for the Panthers. During that one season he played he punted 31 times for 1,198 yards. His long was 53 yards and his average was 38.6 yards. Haar will be a great edition to the Cougars Special Teams and to the BYU Football team. Haar will be fighting for the starting position this coming season with Landon Rehkow the younger brother of Ryan. Either will make their impact on game day and the field position.
Jack Kelly LB, Weber State
Jack Kelly will rejoin Jay Hill from Weber State. He played in 28 games with the Wildcats. Kelly had 85 tackles, 16.5 sacks, one interception, seven pass deflections, seven fumbles, and one interception. He will be a great edition to the linebackers and will also most likely be a starting with Bywater, and Taggart this fall. Look for his name to be one frequently called on game day.
Marque Collins CB, Weber State
Marque Collins is also coming from Weber State as he wants to continue his football career with Jay Hill. He played in 47 games for the Wildcats. Collins had 100 tackles, .5 sacks, five interceptions, and 24 pass deflections over those 47 games. He will be a great replacement for Eddie Heckard as he also is doing a grad year for the Cougars.
