The 2023 NFL season is officially over. It is draft season! The Buffalo Bills came up short again in 2023. Despite getting the second seed in the AFC, they still couldn’t get past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This team needs to find some cheaper options across the roster. The salary cap is tricky as they have signed expensive players in order to maximize Josh Allen‘s early years. Here is the Buffalo Bills 2024 NFL Draft guide.
Buffalo Bills 2024 NFL Draft Picks
The Buffalo Bills have ten picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: No. 28 overall
- Round 2: No. 60 overall
- Round 3: No. 99 overall
- Round 4: No. 129 overall
- Round 5: No. 159 overall (via Green Bay)
- Round 5: No. 162 overall
- Round 6: No. 198 overall (via Los Angeles Rams)
- Round 6: No. 202 overall
- Round 6: No. 206 overall (via Houston)
- Round 7: No. 246 overall
The Buffalo Bills have a lot of draft capital to work with in 2024. They gave away their third-round pick in the Rasul Douglas trade. However, thanks to a compensatory pick, they gain a third-rounder back. They also picked up a fifth-round pick from Green Bay in that deal. Their day three capital gives them flexibility. This team needs cheaper players, and late-round picks are a great way to do it.
Buffalo Bills NFL Draft Needs
The Buffalo Bills need the following positions: WR, CB, DL, EDGE, S
The Buffalo Bills offense feels very settled. They have Josh Allen, James Cook, Stefon Diggs, and Dalton Kincaid. While they need to add another receiver or two, the offense can make it work. This team needs help on defense. The defensive line got very little pressure last year, and Von Miller is taking up a lot of cap space.
Their corners and safeties are aging. Micah Hyde is a free agent and might not be re-signed. Other players are coming off of major injuries and might see a dip in production. They need to find some young talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Mock Draft Analysis
Overall, I see the Buffalo Bills focusing on defense in the 2024 NFL Draft. Getting Newton and Nubin at the top of the draft would be a huge win for this team. Even Dorlus in the third round is great value. From there, the linebackers get some depth and they double-dip at the safety position.
For the offense, they should double-dip as well. We’ve seen mid to late-round wide receivers have success in the NFL. Bakers is one of my personal favorite players out of UCF, and McCaffrey has potential as well. The Buffalo Bills hope that one of them turns into a solid WR2 opposite Diggs.
The Buffalo Bills go into 2024 trying to get over the hump for a Super Bowl. They have to get past a lot of tough teams, but with Allen under center, this team will always be in the mix.
