After a rough season, week 10 showed just how much work the San Antonio Brahmas have to do in the off-season. Their ride on the struggle bus in 2025 has been hard to watch. In the off-season they need to regroup and channel their inner cow. On the other hand, the Arlington Renegades have been inconsistent this season but weren’t that far off from the playoffs.
The Renegades have one of the best QBs in the league, patron saint of UFL long-suffering, Luis Perez. With a little bit of discipline and drafting, the Renegades can prove themselves worthy of Perez. We’re going to need to see some statewide football improvements in the Lone Star State. With an eye on the future, let’s go back to week 10 and discuss what can only be described as a beatdown.
Mr. Fumble Fingers
Each team must have rented a popcorn machine for their locker room with extra butter, because each team was on that fumble struggle in week 10. The first instance kicked off the game in Arlington. You hug your mother with those arms, quarterback Holton Ahlers? NFL players in the 1920s threw those oblong watermelon footballs to each other with more grace. The Brahmas did use their fumble recovery for good, putting the first points on the board with a successful field goal.
Dae Dae Hunter was so embarrassed to be a part of the prior fumble play that he made up for himself by scoring the first touchdown of the game early in quarter 2. The Renegades kept that energy flowing with a touchdown that would make any special teams coach in the NFL happily tear up. A two-hand-off flea-flicker and solid pass later, Luis Perez did all the work as per the usual and ran in the TD. The score is now 13-3.
Two field goals later and one Brahma fumble later, and the Renegades are firmly on top, sitting at 20-3 at the end of the second quarter. Both teams head to the locker room and their respective popcorn machines sans the butter. The Arlington Renegades did so in celebration, and the San Antonio Brahmas did so to feel better.
Marshawn Lynch Would Be Proud

The stiff arms were so intense in this game, it was like Marshawn Lynch gave both teams a crash course. If Lynch watched a UFL game this season, he should opt for this one. Sal Cannella gave it his all in the first quarter, and Jashaun Corbin of the San Antonio Brahmas swept the floor with the opponent’s defense. Someone give this man a ball all the time.
Feeding off the momentum of Corbin cleaning house, the Brahmas made it down the field and secured another field goal. Tristan Vizcaino came in clutch in week 10. The kickers probably made the most points for their respective teams this season.
Cannella couldn’t stop and didn’t stop, crushing the hopes and dreams of the Brahmas with this forceful move. In a rather anti-climatic fourth quarter, the highlight would be the Renegades securing their final field goal. Someone give Lucas Havrisik a bonus. The kicker was on fire this week. The game ended with 23-6 on the scoreboard.
Final Thoughts
In week 10, the stiff arms almost made up for the fumbles. Both teams managed one of each. We saw glimmers of hope in San Antonio that they should capitalize on next season. Arlington made quick work of their opponents, showing off their skills, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. This game may not have been flashy, but it got the job done and had just enough highlights to keep both fanbases hoping that next season will be better.
