Bill Belichick (72) and Jordon Hudson (24) have been creating controversy right and left since their relationship went public. People have strong opinions for many reasons. Some of those reasons include: Belichick is three times as old as Hudson; she is closer in age to his grandchildren than she is to him; and she is younger than his youngest child. The fact that they met when she was 21 doesn’t sit right with a lot of people. It may be controversial and uncomfortable, but it is legal.
Former NFL Players React
Pharoah Brown, a former NFL Patriots player, was fairly positive. He was quoted saying, “I don’t really think about age, once we get grown.” Most don’t typically either, Brown. But Belichick is nearly 50 years older than his girl. Who doesn’t notice that?
Former New England Patriot Cam Newton is less positive. He was quoted saying at the ESPYs, “No, I don’t approve. I’m not even gonna lie. “He made that clear on his podcast when he accused Hudson of only liking Bill Belichick’s resume.
Former NFL player Mark Schlereth had one of the strongest public reactions to date. He was quoted saying, I think he’s a pig. That’s disgusting … That’s just awful. What are you doing? Plus, you look like an absolute clown. What is wrong with you? He was 48 when she was born. She was a baby, and he was 48.” Mic drop.
Current NFL Players Speak On Bill Belichick’s Relationship
Current NFL players aren’t saying much about Bill Belichick’s new situation. That’s likely wise, because you don’t want to smear the name of one of the most prominent coaches in NFL history while still working for the league. That’s a great way to not be hired in the future. One of those current players who had little to say was Mac Jones, who shrugged it off and said, “Good for him, it is what it is.”
Veteran players like Travis Kelce have a little more to say due to job security. Kelce called Belichick a “smooth operator” and referred to Hudson as the former coach’s daughter, before he corrected himself and called her Bill Belichick’s girlfriend. Jason Kelce kept the conversation going quickly; he probably doesn’t want to have to apologize for yet another thing said on the brother’s podcast, “New Heights.”
Jordon Hudson’s Previous Boyfriend Speaks Out
Although Hudson’s ex-boyfriend may have come out to support her, he mostly just left us more unsettled. 64-year-old Joshua L. Zuckerman previously allegedly dated the young cheerleader. He told TMZ: “She is wise beyond her years, much more than any 20-something I’ve ever met in my life. The narrative about her character is not fair to her.” If Zuckerman was trying to help or defend her with this uncomfortable quote, he missed the boat. Hudson may have a complex, and she definitely has a type, one we typically describe as “grandpa.”
