Big 12 Football Conference play is here. Four teams will play their first come this weekend, so watch for some potential upsets there. Week four will be entertaining as the Big 12 moves into conference play and many teams will see what they are finally made of. The list below is from CBS Sports and the predictions will be based on their game predictor.
TCU
TCU is now 2-1 after beating Houston 36-13 to open up their Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs take on SMU on FS1 at noon EST. TCU should have a good game on Saturday and come away with the win.
BYU
The Cougars are now 3-0 to head into their inaugural Big 12 opener. They beat Arkansas 38-31 for another on-the-road SEC win. BYU heads to Kansas to take on the Jayhawks on ESPN this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EST. The Cougars could come away with this win and be 4-0.
Kansas
Kansas won their late game 31-24 over Nevada. The Jayhawks will be home Saturday for their Big 12 Football opener against BYU on ESPN at 3:30 pm EST. Kansas will have to fight hard to beat the Cougars this weekend.
Oklahoma
The Sooners took down Tulsa 66-17 this past weekend. Oklahoma will take on Cincinnati this Saturday at noon EST on Fox. The Sooners will come away with this win.
Texas
Texas is now 3-0 after another win this time over Wyoming at home with the final score being 31-10. The Longhorns will take on the Bears from Baylor this Saturday at 7:30 pm EST on ABC. Texas should get another win and stay undefeated.
UCF
The Knights got a big win over Villanova this past weekend. UCF for their first Big 12 Football matchup will be up against Kansas State in a late-night matchup on FS1. The Knights will lose this game and suffer its first loss of the season.
Cincinnati
Cincinnati lost to Miami Oh in double overtime 31-24. They will take on Oklahoma this weekend and suffer another loss. That game will be on Fox at noon EST.
Kansas State
The Wildcats suffered their first loss this season to Missouri 30-27. Kansas State will be at home to take on UCF this Saturday. The Wildcats will win this game and be 2-2 on the season.
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State lost big time 33-7 to South Alabama on Saturday. They head to Iowa State to play on FS1 at 4 p.m. EST. The Cowboys should win this game and be 3-1 on the season but if they play like they did last week they will be 2-2.
West Virginia
The Mountaineers beat Pittsburgh 17-6 this past weekend. They will be at home to take on Texas Tech at 3:30 pm EST on ESPN+. West Virginia will lose this game and be 2-2 this season.
Baylor
Baylor beat Long Island 30-7 on Saturday. The Bears will be at home to play Texas at 7:30 pm EST on ABC. Baylor will suffer yet another loss and be 1-3 in 2023.
Iowa State
The Cyclones lost to Ohio 10-7 this past weekend. They will take on Oklahoma State on FS1. Don’t expect this game to be exciting or have many points on the board at the end. Iowa State will lose and be 1-3.
Texas Tech
Texas Tech beat Tarleton State 41-3. The Red Raiders will be on the road against West Virginia on ESPN+. They will this matchup and be 2-2.
Houston
The Cougars lost to TCU 13-36 this past weekend. They will be at home against Sam Houston State on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. EST. Houston has to be careful or they will fall to 1-3.
