The Big 12 football season has become attractive. With just one week left before conference play, many teams have won or lost some games that should have gone the other way. Week 3 will be fun to watch and have some significant meaning for many teams as they play one last game out of conference. The list below is done by CBS Sports.
BYU 2-0
The Cougars beat SUU 41-16 in their second home game of the season. This coming Saturday they take on Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN2. BYU has to make some major changes before they can beat the Razorbacks so they will lose their first game and go 2-1.
Cincinnati 2-0
Cincinnati took down Pittsburgh with a final score of 27-21. The Bearcats will be home on Saturday against Miami OH at 7 pm EST on ESPN+. This should be an easy win for them and send them undefeated into their first season of Big 12 play.
Kansas 2-0
The Jayhawks won their second game 34-23 over Illinois in a Friday night showdown. Kansas heads to Nevada to take them in a late Saturday Matchup at 10:30 pm EST on CBSSN. This will be a good game and Kansas will come away with the win.
Kansas State 2-0
The Wildcats beat Troy 42-13 on Saturday. The Kansas State heads to Missouri to play at noon EST on SECN. This game will be a dog fight and Missouri will come away with the win.
Oklahoma 2-0
The Sooners won their game against SMU with a final score of 28-11. Oklahoma heads to Tulsa for an interstate matchup at 3:30 pm EST on ESPN2 this Saturday. The Sooners should win this game and head into Big 12 play 3-0.
Oklahoma State 2-0
Oklahoma State is also 2-0 after beating Arizona State 27-15. The Cowboys are home this weekend against South Alabama at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN+. This will be an easy win and a good way to end nonconference play.
Texas 2-0
The Longhorns are 2-0 after upsetting Alabama at home. Texas finished that game off with a final score of 34-24. They will take on Wyoming this Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on LHN. Another easy win for them to cap off their final nonconference season as a Big 12 member.
UCF 2-0
UCF beat Boise State 18-16 to be the final undefeated Big 12 team after week two. The Knights will be home against Villanova on Saturday at 6:30 pm EST on ESPN+. This game should be a win for them and will keep them undefeated.
Houston 1-1
The Cougars lost to Rice in a 43-41 double overtime thriller on Saturday. Houston will be at home against TCU with their first Big 12 matchup of the season. This game will be on at 8 pm EST on Fox. Houston most likely won’t come away with the win but it will be a good game to watch on Saturday night.
Iowa State 1-1
Iowa State lost to their rivals Iowa 20-13 on Saturday. The Cyclones will be in Ohio playing Ohio on Saturday at noon EST on ESPNU. They should get a win here to be 2-1 heading into conference play.
TCU 1-1
The Horned Frogs beat Nicholls State 41-6 this past weekend. TCU heads to Houston on Saturday to play in a late-night matchup at 8 pm EST on Fox. The Horned Frogs should get the win and be 2-1 going into Big 12 football play.
West Virginia 1-1
West Virginia beat Duquesne 56-15 on Saturday. The Mountaineers will be home this weekend against Pittsburgh on ABC at 7:30 pm EST. West Virginia will get this win late in the fourth quarter to also be 2-1.
Baylor 0-2
The Bears have been off to an interesting start of the 2023 season. Baylor is 0-2 after losing 13-20 to Utah on Saturday at home. The Bears will be home against Long Island this Saturday on ESPN+ at noon EST. This will be Baylor’s first win of the season making them 1-2.
Texas Tech 0-2
Texas Tech is also off to a rocky start. The Red Raiders lost Saturday 30-38 to the Oregon Ducks. Texas Tech will be home against Tarleton State on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. EST. This will be their first win of the season before Big 12 football play starts.
