Team Overview for 2023
Cincinnati finished off the 2023 season 3-9 overall and 1-8 in conference. Their first year in the Big 12 proved to be challenging and was hard for fans to watch. They put up 426 yards on offense on average per game this past season which should have been plenty but it wasn’t. The Bearcats couldn’t get it done in the red zone and put points on the board. On defense, they allowed 400 yards per game which didn’t help because the offense couldn’t get in the endzone and the defense couldn’t keep the opponent out of the endzone.

Pittsburgh
These two faced off last year and Cincinnati won 27-21. This matchup is at 8-5 in favor of the Panthers and Cincinnati is predicted to be the matchup this year.
Miami (OH)
The last time these faced off was 2023 and Miami won 31-24. This game has been played over 120 times and is tied at 60 games with seven ties. Cincinnati is predicted to take the next win of this matchup and break the tie. They will also be 3-0 heading into Big 12 play.
Houston
Houston and Cincinnati went head to head last year and the Bearcats came out on top 24-14. These two have played 19 times over the years due to playing in the same conference more than once over their histories. The Bearcats are predicted to win this matchup and start Big 12 play strong.
Texas Tech
This matchup has been played once before and it ended in a tie. The game this time around the Red Raiders are predicted to beat the Bearcats and hand them their first loss of 2024.
UCF
Last season these two played each other and UCF won 28-26. This series is in favor of the Knights at 5-4 and they will take the next win of this matchup. Leaving Cincinnati at 4-2 in 2024.
Arizona State
Arizona State won the only game between them 46-13 in 2002. Cincinnati is predicted to win this matchup and tie the series.
Colorado
The last time these two faced off was in 1972; Colorado won 56-14. That was the only time they have met on the gridiron and this will change now that they are in the same conference. Cincinnati will lose this game and be 5-3 in 2024.
WVU
These two faced off last year and the Mountaineers came away with the 42-21 win. They have played 21 times and West Virginia has the most wins in this series and will get the next one in 2024.
Iowa State
The Cyclones played the Bearcats last year and won 30-10. That was the first matchup of many between these two and the Bearcats will suffer its next loss to the Cyclones in 2024. This will put them at 5-5 on the season.
Kansas State
1996 was the last time these two met on the gridiron and it didn’t go well for the Bearcats when they lost 35-0. They have six total times and Cincinnati will lose again in this matchup in 2024.
TCU
TCU and Cincinnati last met on the Football field in 2004 when the Bearcats won 21-10. They have met three times and Cincinnati has two of those wins but this time they will lose and be 5-7 to finish off 2024.
