How we came to be
To trace the origins of The Forkball, one needs only to go back to the spring of 2023.
After watching another startup company fail due to mismanagement, the then future owner of The Forkball realized his passion for sports and writing combined with a lifetime of tech knowledge were the ingredients for the perfect concoction to create a publication of his own design.
Aha moment
There was a song by Green Day on the radio called “Good Riddance” which starts off “Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.” This phrase hit home and tumbled through I.W.’s mind until the realization of The Forkball’s name and logo. After purchasing the domain name, he went to work designing the logo, building the site and wrestling up some writers.
